NDTV along with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India conducted a countrywide campaign for looking out the seven wonders of India in 2008-2009. The campaign started with shortlisting two hundred places from all of the Indian states and then inviting public to cast their vote for their favorite places. The Seven Wonders as chosen by India were Meenakshi Amman Temple, Dholavira, Red Fort, Jaisalmer Fort, Konark Sun Temple, Nalanda and Khajuraho.
