The Seven Wonders of Russia as determined by a project managed by the newspaper Izvestia, the TV channel Russia and Radio Mayak. The competition took place in 3 stages from 1st October 2007 through 1st June 2008, with the final results announced in Moscow's Red Square on 12th June 2008. The Seven Wonders as chosen by Russia were Lake Baikal, Valley of Geysers, Mamayev Kurgan, Peterhof, Saint Basil's Cathedral, Manpupuner rock formations and Mount Elbrus.
