Seven Wonders of Ukraine

The Seven Wonders of Ukraine are the seven historical and cultural monuments of Ukraine, that were selected in the Seven Wonders of Ukraine contest held in July 2007. A whole of around 77,000 internet users voted within the campaign. The voting was closed on 21st  August 2007 and the results were officially declared on the same day. The Seven Wonders of Nature as chosen by Ukraine were Sofiyivsky Park, Kiev Pechersk Lavra, Kamianets National Historic-Architectural Reserve, Khortytsia, Chersonesos Taurica, Saint Sophia Cathedral and Khotyn Fortress.

Seven Wonders of Wales

The Seven Wonders of Wales is a traditional list of notable landmarks in North Wales.  The Seven Wonders as chosen by Wales were Pistyll Rhaeadr, St Giles' Church, Overton yew trees, St Winefride's Well, Llangollen Bridge, Gresford bells and Snowdon.

Seven Wonders of Portugal

The Seven Wonders of Portugal is a list of cultural wonders located in Portugal. The creation of the list was supported by the Ministry of Culture and arranged by the companies Y&R Brands S.A. and Realizar S.A. The 6 month long public elections started on 7th December 2006 to pick the top 7 wonders. Votes could be cast via telephone, internet and SMS. Results of the vote were declared on 7th July 2007 at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon. The Seven Wonders as chosen by Portugal were Castle of Guimaraes, Obidos Castle, Batalha Monastery, Alcobaca Monastery, Jeronimos Monastery, Pena National Palace and Belem Towe.

Seven Wonders of Poland

The Seven Wonders of Poland was a short list of cultural wonders located in Poland. The creation of the list was initiated by the leading Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita in a nationwide plebiscite held in Sep’07. Initially over four hundred national monuments were carefully chosen as candidates by the magazine online-readers, however in the second round of selections a board of specialists reduced the amount to 27. The third and last round of public on-line voting started on 31st Aug 2007, to decide on the top seven wonders. Results of the popular vote were declared on 21st Sept 2007. The Seven Wonders as chosen by Poland were Wieliczka Salt Mine, Torun Old Town, Malbork Castle, Wawel Castle and Cathedral, Elbląg Canal, Zamosc Old Town and Krakow Market Square and Old Town.
