The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, also known as the old 7 Wonders of the World. The seven wonders included: The Great Pyramid of Giza,,The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, The Lighthouse of Alexandria, The Colossus of Rhodes, The Statue of Zeus in Olympia, The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (also known as the Mausoleum of Mausolus), The Temple of Artemis in Ephesus. This list was compiled by Ancient Greeks, and contains only ‘wonders’ that were situated in the  their known world. The only ‘wonder’ still standing is the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. The other wonders have archaeological proof apart from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Seven Serbian Wonders of Nature

The Seven Wonders of Serbia are the seven historical and cultural monuments of Serbia, that were selected in the 7 Wonders of Serbia contest held in 2007 and 2008. It was managed by Politika Magazin, whereas main patron of the contest was Tourist Organisation of Serbia. Contest separated 2 lists of seven wonders. One is called "Seven Serbian Wonders of Nature", equivalent of Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The Seven Wonders of Nature as chosen by Serbia were Drina, Uvac, Davolja Varos, Tara National Park, Iron Gate, Vratna Gates and Fruska Gora.

Seven Wonders of Canada

The Seven Wonders of Canada was a 2007 competition sponsored by CBC Television's The National and CBC Radio One's Sounds Like Canada. They sought to decide Canada's "seven wonders" by receiving nominations from viewers, and then from on-line voting of the short list. After the vote, a panel of judges, Roy MacGregor, Roberta L. Jamieson and Ra McGuire, picked the winners based on poetic and geographic criteria. Their seven picks were disclosed on The National on 7th June 2007. The Seven Wonders as chosen by Canada were Niagara Falls, the Sleeping Giant, the Bay of Fundy, the Northern Lights, Nahanni National Park Reserve, the Cabot Trail and the Rockies.

Times of India's list of seven wonders of India

The Times of India newspaper carried out a SMS poll, from 21st  July to 31st  July 2007, to vote for the 7 greatest wonders of India, out of a list of twenty recognized medieval or ancient sites for the purpose. The Seven Wonders of India have currently been chosen by the readers of Times of India. The winners ranged from a majestic monolith to places of worship, a mausoleum and a university. The Seven Wonders as chosen by India were Gomateshwara, Harmandir Sahib, Taj Mahal, Hampi, Konark Sun Temple, Nalanda and Khajuraho.
